Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from GDI
What a year 2025 has been!
- Refreshed Vision: Move from being US-centric to establishing regional hubs across six continents over the next decade. (Antarctica was a stretch).
- Refreshed Mission: Motivate, equip, and coach pastors and ministry leaders to establish MicroGroup-based disciplemaking churches in every country of the world.
- This vision and mission culminated in our first in-person International Leadership Summit in the Philippines in October where 38 of us gathered from 4 continents and 11 countries to worship, pray, and strategize to accomplish our refreshed vision and mission while enjoying face-to-face relationships.
Discipleship Essentials Translations: We are now at 35 languages with Swahili being the latest.
What a year 2026 will be!
Travel the World
Our Ministry Leadership Team (MLT) members will be acting as coaches to help each of our core ministries to live into our vision and mission. This will require onsite visits to Nepal (India), Pakistan, and Philippines (Asian Continent); multiple African nations (active coaching in over 20 countries), Romania, Ukraine, and Fiji. (Who gets to go there?)
The US Advance
In the US we are seeing the advance of MicroGroup-based disciplemaking churches in four regions with a goal to 12 regions in 5 years. In the Northeast one church in now coaching multiple churches in developing a growing network of disciplemaking MicroGroups.
Leadership Summit 2026
This year’s gathering was so energizing that there was an outcry: “Can we do this again next year?” YES!!!
